hi my baby had the same thing. breastfeeding jaundice. doctors really can't say what causes it. initially my baby was given phototherapy and it didn't lower the bilirubin level. so the doctor suspected breastfeeding jaundice and stopped me from feeding the baby for 72 hours. bilirubin lowered within 2 days. 12-13 level is ok. my baby had 20 bilirubin. keep him under the sun for at least 15-30 mins everyday. morning sun.

hello Pooja ,
my daughter had physiological jaundice. as per need we monitored her bilirubin levels, took phototherapy.
When the baby is growing in the mother's womb, the placenta removes bilirubin from the baby's body. The placenta is the organ that grows during pregnancy to feed the baby. After birth, the baby's liver starts doing this job. It may take some time for the baby's liver to be able to do this efficiently.
don't worry . how r u feeding baby? bf or formula ? tc.
don't worry baby will be OK.
