hi everyone.. my baby is 5.5months old n we r going to give him solid food today as well as water..I just want to ask that how much quantity of solids required for 6 months old baby on a daily basis n how should I start????

initially start with only a spoon... water too likewise. Remember that till 1 year, breastmilk is still the primary source of nutrition and solids are just a part of introducing your baby to adult food. So go slow and build up gradually. Read the articles on weaning, follow the 3 day rule and follow baby's cues...
