Dear Neelam, I understand it can feel a little overwhelming when your 7 month old cries even though his tummy is full and there's no visible physical discomfort. You are probably still breastfeeding and as you mentioned once you feed him he's quiet. It's how your baby expresses himself as the body warmth and closeness gives him a sense of security and he has developed a loving attachment and when it's not there he expresses by crying. Aap ek working mumma hain and its understandable to be away for 4-5 hours. It's normal for a child to cry even though there may be no specific reason. Nearly all babies go through this and may experience separation anxiety between 7-18 months. In time your baby will start to understand that you will always come back. It's a normal developmental phase and with time this will pass. Also ensure he's getting the right amount of feeds while you are away as he may be still hungry. Breastfeeding at night can be very comforting for the child yet it can become a habit more than a need which can be tough for the mother. Babies adjust and these are temporary phases. Remember you are not alone :-) If the crying continues frequently, visit your pediatrician to check for any underlying concern.
