question
Hi experts and momies:
My 9 month old daughter has started becoming excessively cranky n restless in the night since a week. during the day she is fine. Come evening after her play time in garden she starts getting real cranky...wants to chew everything and nights r really restless (no sleep for us). I m guessing it is teething that is troubling her...have tried washcloth, massaging, teethers, dentonic, etc. during the day she's playful and takes 2 naps 1 to 2 hrs each. please share what maybe be the issue and how we can help her sleep better at night.

TIA

excellent advice @6372d8dd17d2c800158d9008 !! hi vanita, hang in thete dear. @63729cb62338f60015eaef4c 's baby was teething last month and cranky as well. some moms give a cold carrot. but u need to be very careful as baby is very small. its better to massage the gums with a clean muslin cloth (which cud be cold) or ur hands. i used to put the teethers in the fridge (buy those kind). also my sister had sent a teething gel from canada. i wud apply that at times too! gosh i had forgotten about the teething gel! hope baby feels better. hugs to both of u...

thanks @6372d8dd17d2c800158d9008 for ur quick response. I did try to eliminate one nap...but it gets too tiring for her...she usually sleeps for 1.5 hrs 11 to 1230 and then 430 to 530 approx.

hi vanita, this restlessness, crankiness n sleep issues can be sign of teething or growth spurt. try to breastfeed more during this time, try to reduce 1 nap engage her in play so that she gets tired at night n sleep or excessive tiredness can also be the reason for restlessness. just try to make a little change in routine and observe. @63729b593f31520016a69b80 @6372999217d2c800158d8bec @59b2905b1475ce69d25d02d9 @6372d82a573f5c0015bc4022 ur views pls
