Hi friends...m so very upset...i am diagnosed with jaundice...doctor asked me to stop breast feeding for next 15 days...will i be able to feed my baby again or my supply will be low...feeling very bad
It actually depends on the type of jaundice that you have. In most cases it is actually ok to continue feeding and in fact beneficial. Also it depends on the medication that is being taken. Speak to the doctor and ask for a breast feeding friendly prescription. If it is still required to not feed the baby then continue pumping and discard the milk. Pump as many times as you would feed the baby. This will ensure that you maintain your supply.
