i am weeks expecting amd i had my colour Doppler last week . it was mention that my baby has prominent bilateral renel pelvis (which mean swealling in one kidney 3-4mm)
dr advise us to go fr nlood test which will show that there is any down syndrome in baby or nt my reports came showing all 3 trisoma negative bt there was mention under trisoma 21 thay low risk with negative screening with the ratio of 1:417 .nw dr is saying that u although its negative bt u can be in dat 1% so if u want u go fr NIPT test.
we are so confused we have refer other doctors also they have said nt to worry this will go with time nd this may happen as there may b infection mother so nw i have got my all blood test done nd it s showing infection in my urine nd taking medicine fr it .just wanted to knw is there any 1 else facing same thing or knw anythng abt it.that we should go fr NIPT tedt or nt??

hi...
screening is in lower risk..
so, nipt is not mandatory... its left to your choice...
but in usg report- placenta is covering os... so, please take adequate rest... if you see any spotting or bleeding just rush to doctor immediately...

Hello...
NIPT is a DNA test on maternal blood to screen pregnancies for the most common fetal chromosome anomalies: trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) and trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome). Also the gender of the fetus is determined..
If the triple test or first trimester screening indicates an increased risk for Down syndrome, trisomy 18 or trisomy 13, and if there is Advanced maternal age then this test is beneficial... if you go for it, then it will be best as you will be relieved...
