HI mommy. As of now, your blood sugar looks borderline. Cut down on sugars, fried foods. Finish your last meal 2 hours before bedtime. Take strolls or light walks in the evenings or mornings.

Baby's weight is on a higher side becoz of high sugar levels. Consume more of proteins, cut down a bit on carbs and have multigrain aata if u consume chapatis, if u consume rice, prefer brown rice, millets, barley, oats; and high fibre diet, veggies, consume lot of water. Avoid ghee, butter, sweet fruits, dates, salty items! Go for walks, yoga and don't stress, u should b fine!

I too took insulin shots and it's nothing like people imagine and portray. It's better than tablets, no need to avoid rice if you are a rice eater. Rice and roti has same carb value, avoid sweets and juices, packed food like masala oats, kellogs etc. Go for walk after every meal. I was in insulin for 10 weeks and my sugar went as soon as I delivered. So nothing to worry about.

Hi even i had gestational diabetes and took insulin shots twice a day. Diabetes specialist gave a diet chart and told to cut down sugar. My baby's weight was normal. Delivery was normal but planned early to due date. Baby will be fine.Walking is required.
