40 weeks is full term but it is also ok to wait till week 42 if everything is well with mom and baby. This can only be ascertained by the doctor. Please walk regularly, do your squats and pelvic rotations. This will help bring the baby into the pelvis and can help get labor started. In most cases labor does start before week 40 if baby is well positioned.

i birthed in 32 week. the fear and anxiety has a big effect on your labor since catecolamine hormone is released when in fear. and the hormones that initiate the labor process are not released in presence of catecolamine. so relax . labor will initiate when body and baby is ready.

40 weeks is a.fullterm pregnancy. most women will deliver by 38- 39 weeks. So it's still early for you to worry. wait and watch as your doctor has said.
