question
Hi, I am 36 weeks pregnant and i have been diagnosed with urine infection again. This is third time that I have been diagnosed with urine infection. Everytime the bacteria is different from previous one. I have taken medications but as it is different everytime even doc is not sure why is this happening. Doc said baby is absolutely fine and there is no issue. However she is worried if my Kidney gets infected as the infection is appearing again and again. She has suggested to take maternal kidney scan. I am worried. Please let me know what could be the cause for infection appearing again and again and what precautions I can take. I do drink lots of water and cocunut water too but nothing seems to be working. These days I have to go to washroom everytime i drink water and I stay little wet too. Please advise.

Frequent urination is a symptom of urinary infection. Maintain hygeine as this will help with avoiding infection. Do not use public toilets, wash every time you use the bathroom and wear a panty liner which you can change frequently.

clean your vagina with a good hygine wash. often wash the vaginal area with water after you urinate. take enough liquids. less intake of water leads to the bacteria to grow.
