The machine at home is automatic and the ones the doctor uses are the older versions which are much more accurate. Also when we are sitting and rested the BP is lower but if you have arrived at the doctor's office and are already tense about the reading it can show higher. I would recommend visiting a local physician and once you get there sit and relax for fifteen twenty minutes and then get the pressure checked with the traditional machine.

I am also in the similar situation.  Although my BP is 140/90 and my doctor has advised for operation she is like we can not even induce labour.  She has scheduled me for operation for tomorrow.  I am. Also highly confused and scared.
