question
Hi I am 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My due date is 15th july. Since my natural labor hasn't started and also my cervix has not yet opened, the doctor has advised to get admitted on 16th July. Instead of a direct c-sec, my doc wants to induce labor first. I don't have much knowledge about that but wanted to check since it's an artificial way of labor should it be avoided and c-sec preferred? Also since there will be side effects in both inducing labor and c-sec? Kindly help share your views. Thanks

Hi, don't worry, inducing labour will help you try for a normal delivery. It just gives your body a signal that it's time for the baby to come out now. If still after induction, your labour doesn't progress well, the doctor will opt for a c section. My co sister delivered both her kids normally, after being induced.
I'll share a post with you, so that you may get more idea about it.
http://app.babychakra.com/feedpost/116608?ref=Akf5fc&
