Hi, I have diastasis recti and it's confirmed in scanning. I would like to know when can I start exercise on this recti as I have 44 days old baby? Kindly advise and any info on this will help a lot

Do not worry diastasis recti can be corrected with help of yoga so I will advise you to join a yoga class under the trained postnatal expert who can guide you on the exercises diastasis recti will take time to entirely get strength in this abdominal muscle which becomes loose so do not worry when you do the core exercises do the strengthening of the core muscles then diastasis recti will reduced from its original shape and slowly by the time of 1 year it will regain the normal shape but you need to also check if you have a lot of pain while having yoga and exercise then with this physiotherapy will also be started do not worry Madhu
