Hi, I'm in 38th week of pregnancy and today morning I had my internal review and it was very painful. I just passed some brownish mucous is it normal or should I need to consult doctor. Please advise
It is normal to have a little spotting or brownish mucus after an internal exam. Keep alert that it does not become bright red and a lot. For most women internal vaginal exams are uncomfortable as the procedure is invasive and mentally uncomfortable.
