Hi mommies, can somebody guide me on how to switch from direct breastfeeding to pumping into the bottle and then feeding?
I have no idea when to start?, how to store the breast milk, ? how often to pump? How many days can it be stored? I often give my bub Aptamil . Can i mix the little bit of infant formula
In the breastmilk ? Please guide .

Hi Shweta. These are important things to keep in mind.<br> Start pumping breastmilk gradually, always clean your breast before pumping. Pump breastmilk from both the breast always. Breastmilk can be stored only up to 24 hours/1-day post pumping in the household fridge. Do not store your breastmilk longer than a day.. After pumping the breast milk, store it immediately in the fridge. Once you remove the bottle from the fridge, let it come to room temperature on its own or keep it under running hot water. Do not heat the stored milk directly on the stove or microwave it. This kind of heating will kill the nutrients and enzymes in breast milk. After getting the milk at room temperature use it within 24 hours. Do not re-refrigerate it after warming it/getting it at room temperature.
