Johnsons baby powder can be used on babies from birth of the baby itself. I have myself used it and would recommend personally because I trust the product completely. 
Many have suggested not to use talc only. But the purpose of talc should be to reduce any moisture from skin and keep the baby fresh. And johnsons does the job well as they use high quality talc than most of the brands mentioned.

There is no hard in using Johnson and Johnson baby powder. It is absolutely safe to use. The talc used in the powder is food grade. Just make sure you use the correct way. Take some powder in your hand and rub it between your palms and then apply your hands on your baby's body. Do not sprinkle directly on baby's body.
I have been using the Johnson baby powder on my 4.5 yr old and on my 8 months old..I havent faced any issue and both of them absolutely love it.

i heard chicco talcum powder is good to use. 

i got johson baby powder as gift. but some of mommies said its not good to use jhonson products for baby.
