question
Hi mommies...just wanted to share this with u all...my baby boy had a diaper rash due to which his genitals got sore and infected..

My pead told me one thing the problem in India is there is no quality checks by parents w.r.t baby diapers unlike western countries as for us diapers are the trash.

i dont know why parents look for the cheapest alternative including me when it comes to diapers which is guiding the most vital part whereas they dont mind spending on all stupid sorts of lotions, cream, oils which has not much concern with the health.

In India all conventional and branded diapers are bleached with chlorine which is one of the main causes for all sorts of rashes, redness , irritation.

besides if the baby is a girl, can lead to heavy infection of uretor. we dont discuss these thing as its a personal thing and we feel diapers doesnt suits our baby. But as per survey , 6 out of 10 babies in India suffer from diaper problems .

As a parent, rather than spending on non wanting things, get your baby a good chlorine free diaper.
Do u guys know any good chlorine free diaper in India apart from cloth diapers?

I agree with Asha Chaudhry, I use himalayas in the night and mamy poko pants in day time. Mamy poko is cheaper than pampers and himalayas but still it's good.. 10 days shy of 6 months and using diapers from day 1 touchwood no diaper rash so far. My family use to get irritated with me because I keep checking her bum now and then, if the baby is on soiled diaper then rash is common. If she is on rompers or onsies or dungarees I lift and smell her &#128514; but I make sure she is not on soiled diaper. I also change diapers every 4 or 5 hrs and give some diaper free time, also when the baby starts with solids they need more diaper attention. There are foods which will cause rash once they poop so we need to be careful.

I have invested in bloomers...yes...although being pee trained..but sometimes she does pee in 10min. Especially when it rains...I have 69 bloomers... though I keep washing but during rains in Pune...drying is an issue...diaper only at night...changed at 2am....6am.<br> I wash Everytime my baby poops

hi anon - sorry to hear about the rash and infection. hope baby is feeling better now. i reckon, more than the quality - it's the time frame that we keep diapers on that is the culprit. we need to change diapers every 4 hours, and immediately after baby poops. we need to give diaper free time every day as well. my pead strictly told me not to have baby wear one diaper all throughout the night, even if baby sleeps throughout (when older). she said always chuck it at 4am even if baby is sleeping peacefully and let her be in a simple panty after that to avoid an UTI.
