Hi moms and moms-to-be, i have a query. How many of you have invested in Cord Blood Banking? How important it is and how many of you believe that it is really helpful? We are a middle class family and the cost of blood banking is quite high. Ranges from 50k to 80k from what i have looked over the internet. So is it really life saver for most of us?

It cures only basic diseases like diabetes as of now, rest is under research. If u have a family history of some dreadful diseases also thr is no Pakka proof that cord can cure and one more important thing is that child's stem cells cannot be used to treat genetic diseases in that child. It can be used for other family members. Everything is under research.

I am afraid to call since a representative would always speak in favor. I hoped for a non-biased advice

Dear as @priti raghuvanshi has correctly suggested it is still under research as to how much this can help..many people are confused about this..best is to call their representative and they can give you a presentation and make the situation clear..then you can decide dear..
