I am in a dilemma. I am living in small town where all the fruits and vegetables are not available. Whenever we are visiting home we bring lots of stuff for my 8 months son. But it is not possible for me to go every week. I was thinking of giving some packed purees and cereal. But still it is a big matter of concern for me. Please suggest me how to give fruits and vegetables which is not available? And if I can give packed food how frequently I can give?

Packed puree does not offer any texture, he will never learn to chew and manipulate food.

Whatever local vegetables available at your place you can offer your baby, 8 mo can slowly be transitioned to family food. I'm sure vegetables like potato, toori, dhudi, pumpkin etc should be available. Rest of the things you can refrigerate.
