Hi moms I'm feeling very guilty that i couldn't breastfeed my baby. She is 5months old now. The time at which babies start sucking the breast, my lo is in NICU later on even though i tried a lot she didnt suck. She used to cry a lot, i couldnt see that n gave her formula feed along with that i used to express my milk n feed thru bottle.
On the 9th day, i had a little chicken n i shuldnt give my feed as she is having jaundice. So i used to express milk n throw away. After that though i express frequently, there is no milk. Consulted doctor fr improvement of milk, taken lot many home remedies but of no use. As my baby didnt suck, my MIL gave her breast to suck. That made me very depressed. I couldnt forget that incident. If at all my lo is on BM, she should nt have done that. Its all because of me. I feel like crying. I just to share my situation with you. Thanks for reading

When i told to my hubby abt my MIL, he was angry at first. Later on he is supporting his mother saying that there is nothing wrong in doing so. I asked few people abt this.
From then my mind was shattered.

hey sweety. a very big and warm babychakra mom grouphug to you! pls pls don't feel guilty. first of all relax. formula feed is fine if there has been an issue with bf. pls meet a lactation consultant and see if you can bf (if milk is still there) and formula feed. in any case once baby completes 6 months you can also start weaning foods. now the hard part - did you MIL offer breast once or is she still doing this? if so, pls speak to ur hubby and like neha has rightly pointed out you need to take charge as this is your baby. pls don't feel depressed, keep talking to us and you will be able to snap out of it. have a good friend come over. go to ur parents house for a while if that's possible. that way if you can take charge. tc. none of this is your fault.
