hi moms.. many of you have read my previous post on TORCH infection.. thanks a lot for all your love, support and wishes.. although I m not a doctor but wanna share some symptoms, effects and precautions of TORCH infection whatever I came to know during this period..
There are essentially two ways of transmission of this infection..
1} across the placenta- the fetus depends on ur immunity..so it has no resistance against the Virus that crosses the placental boundary..
2} during childbirth- this infection may pass through body fluids and maternal blood too during or after birth.
Symptoms:
some of the general signs are fever, rashes on skin(small red or purple spots), jaundice and flu.. these signs may not b taken so seriously.. but they create havoc in fetus..
Precautions:
*proper hygiene should b maintained
*stay away from pets like cats..these can cause toxoplasmosis
*don't ever eat raw meat or eggs
*avoid insects such as flies
*do eat nutritious foods
*avoid contact with people suffering from torch
*perform tests before pregnancy and do get vaccinated such as MMR vaccine to prevent rubella..
guys do take proper care of urself in the first trimester especially so that u don't have to suffer any of these infections..stay healthy..stay happy.. 😊
Thnkuu so much sonam... for sharing dis imp.info to all of us..
