hi moms...wat should be the duration of a nursing session for a 5 month old...max how many minutes is ideal...
also my baby gets up frequently like in minimum 5 to max half hour every night...majorly gets up n cries I try to rock but she wants to be on the breast n the moment there will not really drink but just relax n sleep...keeps rubbing her face in sleep wen cries...any suggestions to help her sleep atleast 1 hour at stretch...had heard as babies grow they sleep for long periods...

By the time babies are 5 months old they start nursing well. however the duration differs for each baby. they can nurse from 5-10 minutes or stay there longer. Babies like routine. Follow a routine where the baby knows what comes up next. If there is a change in the routine some babies get fussy. Try massaging your baby, a warm bath, play soft calming music, keep the room quiet and dark.

same problem evn m facing with my 3months old daughter...doc suggested me to give her bath in d evening so tat she 'll sleep in d night...and I tried everything colicaid...trying not to make her sleep in d evening...giving external drink like carrot juice got water...but nothing is working
