Hi my baby is 100 days old and weighs about 4.2 since his birth weight was just 2.2 kgs. My worry is he is growing length wise compared to weight. And all my guests n visitors complain of not putting on weight which upsets me. M not sure if BM is sufficient can I give him formula along with BM if yes which one is good to provide and how many times. His doctor is on vacation for 2 weeks hence couldn't consult personally
TIA

Usha 2.2 kgs birth weight was too low but still you breast fed him exclusively and made him gain 2 kgs, you nurtured the baby. Isn't it something great? You should be proud of yourself and not worried about what others say. Formula comes with pros and cons, it doesn't guarantee weight gain. Ignore everything and enjoy your baby.

Please keep ur ears off those comments. The baby's health is not decided by weight it's the overall health. If your baby's pee count is six to seven times a day and gaining adequate weight then it's a sign of well fed baby, don't opt for fm it's not required

If the baby pees 7-8 times then he is getting sufficient milk... And being a mom means you will have to learn how to filter people's words... So please don't listen to anyone...
