It's natural for babies to do this and it's unavoidable. Soon they will be crawling on the floor and putting their hands in the mouth. It's part of the growing up process. Wipe hands often with a wet napkin and then dry well. Avoid excessive use of hand sanitizers.

Hi, babies generally put the hands on the mouth when hungry - please note the quantity that the baby is feeding. 3 months is a growth time and hence, the babies feeding times and quantity change now. Also, check of there is any ulcer or any discomfort/redness etc. in the mouth which is irritating the baby, by a doctor. Secondly, do not use a lot of soap or sanitizer on the baby's hands as it will go the mouth. Sanitizer is not good for children. Just wipe it with a cloth or water.
