Hi. My baby is 6months years old. While sleeping or before sleeping he cries a lot. Sometimes we really don't understand why he is crying. He cries cries and falls asleep. Is it normal. Also he does not sleep well through out the night. He wakes up crying after sometimes and when I breastfeed him then he sleeps. Is it normal..?

You must count how many times the baby urinate. If it is more than 6 times or more in a day then it's normal and if it is less than 6 times than the baby did not get enough milk. You also have to check the urine color and smell if it is dark yellow and strong smell it also indicate that the baby did not get enough milk. You also check the position of the baby while breastfeeding. And as you say your baby is 6 month old it is the perfect time to give him/her some complementary food. I mean to say that you must ensure that will your baby get enough food or not and this may be the reason for crying.

It appears that the baby is habituated to feeding and sleeping. This is a fairly normal situation. Try and Pat and sing to the baby to help soothe the baby. You can also try keeping a small light on in the room so that baby can see and not be in the dark.
