Dear Nike,
Rolling over happens anytime between 4 and 6 months. And each baby achieves milestones at her/his own pace. Before rolling over, ur baby may try to go on his sides. and back again. He would also try to cross over his leg. So these are a few signs that a baby is headed to the next milestone.
Now about him crying when on tummy, well there is pressure on his stomach, so it may not be comfortable for him. Many babies do that.
If he cries a lot, you could start with tummy time on your lap and sing songs, talk to him, whatever he likes. But keep it for a very short time.
After few days move to a soft mattress and later on the floor. As Mamta suggested, u could use an attractive toy too.
Best Regards.

It's okay. Not all babies are same. Not all babies develop each and every milestone and that too on a particular time.
Let him be. He shall do it soon.

try to place a toy that attracts his attention. this way ur baby will try to reach out for the same. this helps in getting them to try rolling.

Do not force ur baby, let him learn on his own. Stop worrying
