Dear Suchi, Some children are early speakers and some take a bit more time and added interventions to acquire spoken language. As u have mentioned, ur child is able to pronounce or say sounds, I would suggest you encourage her to string two sound/syllables to make a word to e.g. cat, cup, roti etc So you list down all the sounds of letters she can make clearly. Then pick two sounds to make simple meaningful words. Make sure these words are of objects that she uses everyday. Keep adding to the list everyday. Encourage her to use these words. Hello. .. dnt worry... my lo started understanding wen she was months.. Our local language. ..English. .. hindi n kannada. . started words at 1 yr... @ 2 yrs she started words n only @ 2.8 she all of a sudden started framing sentences.. so jus dnt wry... try talking to her.. u tell her rhymes..numbers... etc n some point she wud strt repeating.. generally by 3 rs kids start talking... today @3.1 yrs I just can't shut her mouth. .. tat chatterbox she is
