Hi, my daughter is 3 years old and attends the playgroup. She is very active and remembers things very easily. She is extrovert and confident. But she is too lazy when i want to make her study anything. I have tried thw slate and chalk, drawing book, card board books, see and learn books, but she never sits with me. whenever i take a book and call her to me even to show some pictures she runs away. She always want to see rhymes and games in youtube. I want her to learn writing alphabets and count numbers. M i expwcting more from her age. Please advice what to do.

I agree, it is best to allow kids to explore what they want to do on their own. However I am not supportive of the you tube games and videos or any such passive viewing. If these are not available or easily accessible then she will automatically start showing an interest in books toys and games.

Hi Suhasini. I can understand. At this age i feel we should really let kids be . With play they are actually learning a great deal. I would suggest not sitting with her with books to study. This may lead to her having an aversion to studying
