My son is 1.5 months old. He doesn't open his mouth wide while feeding as a result he has a shallow latch. Even if I put the areola in his mouth he will wriggle out and suck on the nipples. This is causing me sore nipples and I'm afraid that he is not getting adequate milk.
Please advise.

you have to be patient...my dd did exactly after 1.5 months...till that time even I was worried. consulting a lactation expert gave me confidence and correct way

Thanks a lot for your response. I'm following this but as my baby is not latching properly the problem is recurring.

apply nip care and use warm Cloth for relief.wipe out before feeding. once baby latched properly u won't find any problem....I also faced same issue. consult nurse or lactation expert to help u make baby latch properly..i did the same
