Hi, My week old baby just had some blood tests done, and there is a medical adhesive tape with cotton on the back of her hand where they withdrew the blood. This was yesterday afternoon. She has a tendency to put her hand to her mouth, so we are worried she may try sucking on the cotton. We'd like to take it off, but are concerned that some skin may also come off. Any pointers for gentle removal of this tape?

Thank you all for your responses! @6247946051de3d0014c4c1ce , we use the mittens, but she is very naughty and manages to get them out somehow :p. @616d5a27c1b4770013bcb718 , we were not informed about the same, in the many topics that were under discussion, we forgot to touch this point. We will remove it later today using the method you suggested. @5f5223878cd1250045aff374 thanks for the confirmation. We were concerned, its our first baby and we are still coming to terms with many things!

Kiwi's tape was removed in half an hour ... I don't think there is any effect to the skin as such

Hi Francis,,,
Just remove that tape and cotton using water or spirit.. dont worry it will not ruin the baby's skin.. it can be removed soon after 15mins, why it is not yet removed?? Didnt the hospital staff informed about this??
