Hii mommies.. My baby is a month old and I have been breast-feeding her since the beginning along with giving her top feeds (since the doc advised that she wasn't gaining enough weight). The baby falls asleep while feeding and is always hungry whenever she wakes up (which could be an anything between 30 mins to 2. 5 hrs).
She is passing urine around; 8-10 times in a day...
1. How long should a newborn nap at one go?
2. Could it be possible that because I'm not lactating enough the baby isn't getting enough breast milk and is not gaining enough weight?

Hi
A newbirn naps atleast two hours between feeds could be more also. Since she pees these number of times it's a sign of well fed baby. Feed on demand dear no issues tc

In one month we can't judge about her weight gain so relax. And you need to relax and have faith in you. As a mom you can feed your baby enough milk.. Eat healthy food. Ping me if you have any questions.

You can gently wake her up if she is dozing off , the feeding session should not be more than 25 mins now.

hi annon, newborn babies takes 3 to 4 nap in a day..some babies sleeps for more than 2 hours , while some takes sleep for one hour..don't worry..its not a reason of waking , that u r not lactating enough..because she is passing urine 10 times.. it shows that she takes enough milk..plz check about colic..if she is sleeping while feeding, try to wake up her slowly & feed continue for 20 minutes at; every 2 hours..
