Mucolite aids in melting away the blocked mucus. Use only with prescription. It is very helpful. I agree but use with prescription. I steam like this. Turn on the shower on hot for about 5 minutes with closed bathroom door. Let it build upbsteam. Then I just take him with me and we sit therein. Alternatively you could buy the normal steamer from any pharmacy and keep it by the bedside exercising caution that the baby doesn't cone into direct contact with the steam.

you can buy plastic steamer from a medical shop and use it for steam.. keep it near baby and make sure  she doesnt get close to it...

Hi Chaitra, even my baby has cold and running nose these days..I'm.doing these<br> 1. Rub his feet with warm mustard oil+ garlic gloves and put on socks (This heats the body, gives relief)<br> 2. Using Rhino Nasal drops ( please consult your doctor for this), this looked far better than Nasal saline drops. Gives relief to blocked nose atleast for 4-5 hrs(though it claims 12hr relief on cover)<br> 3. Since baby is 4months only, please breastfeed as much as possible<br> 4. Don't over cover baby body like head, socks, hand gloves etc..this make baby more irritated and doesn't sleep properly..<br> 5. My paedritic said there are two versions in sinarest...Sinarest paracetamol and Sinarest AF..I think this is only for cold. But for cough my doc suggested Mucolite drops(for cold with cough)<br> (Please check with your doctor and decide for the medicine as each baby is different..I'm just giving you an idea dear..) One more useful tip: put 2-3 drops of eucalyptus oil (u will get these in tablet form, <u>from</u> a medicine; shop, just cut one tab and squeeze 3drops of; oil) on pillow or baby's <u>b</u>ed sheet, inhaling that would feel better for baby
