I've seen many of the moms asking for suitable medication for cold, fever, pimple like projections, rashes,... Etc. My baby's going to be a one year old this March... I've only given her alopethic medicines in just a few cases like gas problems, fever after vaccinations etc. I'll list what all I did to treat her other problems. It helped to reduce use of alopethic medicines

Skin rashes: I used to apply plain coconut oil, Virginoil, etc every 3 hrs.

Dry skin:I used to give her a massage with nalpamaradi thailam for about 10-15 mins before bathing her. Nalpamaradi thailam is available at all ayurveda medical stores and is also good for gifting the baby a supple and glowing skin.

Fairness:I used nalpamaradi thailam n it had best results. My friends recommended desapushpa thailam n I'm using it now, it's giving good results as I did expect from it.

Redness in the eye: pour a drop of breastmilk in the eye which is affected.repeat this during the afternoon and night too...

Increase weight:my baby is thin but she had enough weight for her age because I always breastfeed as much as I can n only gave formula at night before she went to sleep.. The formula I used was nan pro. I started giving her semisolids by her 4th month and solids after her sixth month.. Semisolids I gave her were either of raggie or banana as same food everyday might bore her so give both randomly. Solids I started with was rice n idli

Hair growth:I used to rub coconut oil before bathing her

Cold/fever :I used to breastfeed her as much as I could n it did benefit coz breastfeed itself is the best medicine we can ever give a baby.. Those without breastfeed can consult a homeopathy practitioner instead of buying alopethic medicines.

Constipation: I used to breastfeed her n it just went away after she was four months.

Breastfeeding mothers should also avoid medications as much as possible. Products I use now for
