Hii!Experienced mommies n experts..My 15 days old baby s on breast milk ..But since a week she s having frequent choking while breast feeding.n after that strange breathing sounds like wheezing..She stops taking feed after such episode..I'm feeding her keeping head elevated keeping a pillow under my legs on her paediatrician advise..plz pour on ur valuable advise how to avoid choking n her strange wheezes..Am tensed

@6372d82a573f5c0015bc4022 also ensure while feeding her neck is not touching her chest as in there should be some gap otherwise it becomes difficult for baby to gulp the milk inside

Hi Rishma, my baby does same. Lately I have realised she makes wheezing sound when she's sleepy while feeding. And probably to avoid sleep she seems to fight with it. Also she coughs at times that could be due to sucking more milk at a go but unable to gulp. It's true that position matters and head should be elevated but make sure she's comfortable and head it's elevated a lot. Also try to tilt her towards urself as if she tries to latch moulding her neck it may result in choking or coughing.
