hi my doctor had also prescribed this hormone because of abdominal discomfort in the initial days of my pregnancy. I stopped taking it after first trimester. because taking unnecessary hormones can result in unnecessary weight gain. so u can talk about it with ur doctor and tell him to explain its functions and all. n then u can take a call.

up to my experience, tab.duphaston ll nt harm..abt stopping r continuing medication can oly tld by ur doc..so once ask ur doc..and in this stage of pregnancy as puchu tld oly iron calcium n protein supplements r advised for normal one..

my doc told me to stop duphaston on 18th week, i stopped then.its work is uptil 16 weeks spclly after then it is of not so useful. these are progestrone tablets,you can stop now and only continue iron and calcium tablets.

Hi Ruchi..<br> sometyms doctors advice <br> tab.duphaston 10mg till delivery if there z any complications, as it helps in safe pregnancy..if its normal pregnancy then usually they advice to stop by 20-24weeks..so once take ur gynaec advice..
