more 2 weeks to go. .let him complete 6 months . by the time you can prepare your babys weaning plan and resource. start with veg , fruit puree, cereals such as ragi, brown rice , normal rice can be given in porridge form also. best is go thru articles in baby chakra on weaning it will help you a lot :)

wait till baby complete 6 months. give water. Feed softly cooked mashed rice, daal Paani, boiled n mashed carrot, sweet potato, mashed banana, ragi porridge initially..Give initially little quantities in day time. Later slowly you can increase. Baby initially may spit, won't eat or vomit..all these are normal. Don't force feed.
