Hlo lovely momz n moms to be ......
Momz of todler knows very well that why ultrasound sound is done? N for which purpose ?;
But first time moms to be have so many questions n doubts; regarding scan..
When I conceived, I got 5 ultrasound .was suffering from pain so to know that pregnancy is not ectopic; I got first scan.....but it was too early....so did not get..
In post I am sharing my experience......

Ultrasound imaging allows an inside view of soft tissues and body;
cavities without the use of invasive techniques. Ultrasound is often used to examine a fetus during pregnancy. There is no evidence that any danger occurs from ultrasound during pregnancy.

Types of ultrasound during pregnancy:-

a)Viability Ultrasound;
b) NT scan or level one
C) Anomly scan;
d); Bpp scan

#Viability scan:-
Done during early pregnancy
;b/w Seventh - ninth week of pregnancy
Purpose:-
1)Verify pregnancy
2)Determine the baby's gestational age and corresponding due date
3)Determine single or multiple pregnancy
4)Confirm location in the uterus if there are symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

#Nt scan;

Timing:-
between 11 weeks and 14 weeks of pregnancy;

In the first trimester of pregnancy

Purpose:-
1)confirm pregnancy
2)check the fetal heartbeat
3)determine the gestational age of the baby and estimate a due date
4)check for multiple pregnancies
5)examine the placenta, uterus, ovaries, and cervix
6)diagnose an ectopic pregnancy(when the fetus does not attach to the uterus) or miscarriage #Anomly scan:-

It's level two ultrasound;
Done during second trimester
Timing:-performed b/w 18-22 week
It examines the chambers of the heart, the brain, organs such as the kidneys and liver, the spine and measures the length of your baby’s arms and legs and the circumference of his head.;

It will also; check the position of the placent
Biophysical Profile (BPP)
Done during last trimester
What is a biophysical profile (BPP)?
May done in; 32-34 week or earlier....
A biophysical profile (BPP) is a test that combines a nonstress test with ultrasound to check the health of the fetus. A nonstress test (NST) measures the fetal heart rate in response to the movements of the fetus.
There are five parts to a biophysical profile:
