HOME IS THE FIRST SCHOOL
A child’s behavioural development in the first 4 years depends on the way their parents act n portray themselves in front of their child. These initial years r completely based on observational learning. The child will see, observe, grasp & behave as shown to her. Never underestimate ur child; for u she may be a baby with a lack of understanding BUT that’s not the reality. Ur baby is constantly in the learning process n getting influenced. She is picking up on the new & smallest things she comes across n has a very well understanding than u think she does. Just because ur child’s speech is not yet developed doesn’t mean it cannot hear what u talk or see what u do; she will reciprocate the same to the world in actions if not in words. Be very mindful of the image ur portraying of urself n about the world in front of ur baby,remember she will be growing with those impressions. The most important rule is ‘Practice what u preach’. If u do not brush ur teeth at bedtime, ur child will not feel the need to do it. Do not expect ur child to latch onto good habits if u do not have one of those. If u r a well mannered human being, the same is going to reflect into ur child’s behaviour.
1. Do not use foul language in front of ur kid, ur words r constantly falling on ur baby’s ears so do not be surprised the next time she uses the same on u.
2. Do not force or yell at ur kid for not eating a healthy & balanced diet if u r not following it for urself. The child may not understand y ur telling her to eat food that is different from yours.
3.Share with others whatever u can, so the child learns to share n understands that it takes both sides to build a bridge.
4.Welcome people with a smile n greet them with humility n humbleness, this will explain ur kid to pass pleasantries at the guests & not to run away or be isolated.
*The next time u see a misbehaving child, do not judge or blame the innocent soul for being ill mannered for she is inheriting it from her home & immediate surrounding, not to forget ‘’Home is the first school’’!!
