HOME MADE CERELAC

Home made cerelac is one of the best nutritious Weight Gaining Food that you can offer your baby.

There are many commercial available preparations in the market, they also work out good, but making the health mix at home helps to customize the ingredients according to your baby’s need.

Also, Tinned foods may not mention the addition of preservatives, but almost every product has them. These chemicals can have harmful effects of preservatives on your baby’s developing digestive system.

Ingredients

Rice -1 cup
Urud dal-2 tbsp
Toor dal-2 tbsp
Channa dal-2 tbsp
Moong dal-2 tbsp
Almonds-8

Method
Soak all the ingredients in water for 10 minutes, rinse and dry them.

Roast in a pan until it becomes golden brown.

Let them cool for few minutes.

The roasted ingredients can either be powdered by blender or mixer grinder

Sift the ground flour to make it more finer.

The sifted flour can be stored in an airtight container for at least 4 to 6 months.

Preparation method:
Take one and a half tablespoon of the powder, mix it with 2-3 tbsp of water. Make sure there’s no lumps. Add this to boiling water and stir until it thickens.
The porridge is ready.

You can also use this powder to nake disa, idli or pancakes and offer your child.

This’s the basic recipe of cerelac for 6-12 Months babies.
