hi dear, try laying inclined backwards, make sure your back does not curve, give enough support with sturdy pillows. do not let baby to get too hungry, look out for subtle cues from baby which indicate hunger. a baby cries at the last stage of hunger. feed atleast 2 hours apart or less. not beyond that... express a bit of milk before feeding. a bit of spit up is normal and fine... burp baby well and hold upright for 15-20 minutes...

hello meenakshi...
i can understand your position...
Get comfortable with lots of pillows - at your back, under the baby, sit straight, and don't bend forward to baby, but pull baby close to your bosom. Adjust with pillows under your arms so that your hands don't ache..
Turn baby's entire body facing your body. Pull forward the nipple and part of the areola- dark part of the breast with your forefinger and middle finger, and let baby latch on it. If nipple alone is given, your nipples will crack and cause lot of pain..
During the initial months, baby will seem to feed every 5 mins. Baby may also cry. It does not mean baby is not getting enough milk. Count the number of pees, should be minimum 6-7. They also cry for comfort! Suckling brings them relaxation, assurance and warmth.
Always remember to burp soon after every feeding.. never put baby in lying position soon after feed which causes severe choking... check baby's pee everyday- it should be atleast 6-7 times per day in this age..
if you are having filled breast and baby is full then just extract milk and throw away.. dont stress more..
