How I well not me but how my Mumma toilet trained my 4 month old daughter!!!
Pihu was born on 1st Nov weighing only 2.1 kgs when we brought her home she was fragile and thin, we made a conscious decision of not using diapers for her. We used cotton langots instead, since. Had a C-section my Mumma took the responsibility of ensuring that Pihu is not left unchanged even for few seconds.

I started using disposable diapers for Pihu from first week of December by then her weight was 2.5 kgs and NB size diapers fitted her well. But diapers were used only during nights.

I came back to my mumma's home by mid February and from them my mom started toilet training little pihu, initially I would wonder why is she forcing pihu to pee or poop!!

Pihu loves going on walks with nanu and nanu hates diapers he said let us pretend it is 1980s and let us train pihu well 😀

Then I became a believer, yes we could train pihu.

So her routine is, wake up by 7am, play for about 15-20 minutes and then Mumma takes her to the potty spot (it is just one corner of my room). Mumma says we should not change the spot untill she is trained well, so that her brain gets stimulated to do potty. Now with a set routine and despite being on my breast milk she does potty every day.

With her pee, we ensure we make her do pee every hour, she does pass urine during intense crying bouts otherwise it has been a smooth ride. I wake up thrice during night to feed her and simultaneously make her do susu as well.

Pihu has not used a single disposable diapers in the past month and honestly I am proud of it.

So key points to remember are:

- give your baby time, pihu took good one month to get trained well

- do not change the location where you make the baby do poo and pee

- set a routine for baby, hence you will also need to have a routine you cannot expect the baby to respond well to poo or pee stimulation unless there is a routine

- pihu is 4 months and she is trained well but not every baby is same so if your baby takes time then give it to him/her
Pls ask if in case you have any questions, my Mumma will answer 🙂

All the best, hope you all have a smooth toilet training phase.
This is a pic of the trainer and trainee 😘

Shanaya - as soon as the baby wakes up take him to his potty seat and stimulate him.. keep doing this everyday at a specific time, like the time he wakes up..until the routine is set

I suggest her mother should practice gentle parenting to train her to do potty...
Take her to market and let her buy her own potty seat.. make a potty corner for her.. make it interesting area.. tell her the importance of pooping in the seat when she even tries you should reward her... And then show her when elders go to the loo.. telling that now she is a big girl and this is how big people do poop
