my lactation counselor and pediatric told me 40 min from each breast on demand in beginning...2-4 hours gap as per baby's demand...feed from one side each time so the baby could get hind milk too which will help him gain weight... Babies do long feeding in early months but gradually it goes down to 5-10 min each feed.... early months you should feed 35-40 min from one side out of which the baby would suckle around 15-20 min and rest he would sleep &#128525;

Its totally normal.. When their stomach is full they leave on their own .. Dont force feed
