❤️ HOW MUCH OF SWEETS IS OK FOR KIDS? ❤️
.
. #mishmummasays
.
If you have a sweet tooth like us, you are gonna definitely agree on the awesome feeling and happiness you derive from pampering yourself with all the yummy sweet little things! Is n't it?
.
But we got to keep a check on all our sweet treats & not go overboard. Sweets are essentially unnecessary for our bodies and frequent indulgence, can lead to numerous issues especially in kids.
.
Listed below are possible effects due to the sweets intake in a kid's diet:
.
❤️ DISINTEREST IN HEALTHY FOOD:
Kids who are used to having sweets frequently, might get addicted to having them and might prefer them over the other savory foods, limiting your ability to include a lot of healthy options in their diet.
.
❤️ LACK Of APPETITE:
Kids don't have a big appetite and eating unhealthy sugary treats before or during actual meals, will only leave no space for the actual nutritious foods. Instead let them have their actual meal first and only post that let them enjoy their desserts in moderation.
.
❤️ TANTRUMS AND MELTDOWNS FOR IT:
The moment they see their favorite sweet while being outside or see another child have it,  they might always cry and demand  for it. We need to be strict, lead by example and have them indulge occasionally. They are gonna value those rare special times even more and relish to the fullest.
.
❤️ BEHAVORIAL ISSUES:
The high sugar intake will lead to a sugar rush and make them cranky, irritated after a while when the sugar level drops. Hence, limit the frequency and the intake and do it in moderation. They don't need to have an entire thing and you can share & enjoy together, which is more fun too!
.
.
Apart from these they might also give way to unnecessary numerous health issues later on!
.
.
Easier said than done! How do you go about keeping a check on your sugar intake? And do you follow certain things with your kids?

I always restrict my daughter's sweet intake. To me sugar is nothing less than poison.
