how much time do babies need to recover from cold. My lil one has been suffering from cold for past one week and ive been addressing him with all the medicines mentioned by the doc. yet he doesn't seem fine.

Sometimes too many medicines make it difficult...Keep breastfeeding, keep giving steam as you are doing and do ajwain potli compress like @6372999217d2c800158d8bec said. And relax! Cold is not a bad thing...it is just a way for the body to detoxify. So it is good in a way...

Hi Ambika. It does take time no doubt. Have you tried steaming? Why you must opt for steam for you and your child? is a good read. I do steaming whenever baby gets a cold

hi dear, heat some ajwain and few garlic cloves on a tawa and make a potli of this... apply the potli(make sure temperature is comfortable for baby) to baby's chest and back. when heat is gone, you can simply reheat the potli and apply... you can also keep the potli near where baby is sleeping so that baby gets the smell... you can also make gralic oil, heat about 8 crushed cloves in 1/4 cup of mustard oil or coconut oil, apply under baby's feet and put on socks and leave...
