Me and my hubby used to dine out every weekened before kids. Once parenthood happened, our lifestyle changed completely. When it came to dining out with twins alone, we always used to think twice. Because handling toddlers in a restaurant isn't easy, especially when most of the restaurants around aren't kid-friendly. And in our case, we couldn't even take turns!
So our restaurant outings would only happen when we had our parents visiting us. But now that A&A (my twins) are 3 years old and have learnt how to eat on their own, we have started taking them out more often and all by ourselves, without any help! Last time when we took them to a restaurant, the entire outing was a breeze! I was so surprised all through. We didn't require any toys or the iPad to keep them hooked to their chairs. Neither did we spend half of our time chasing them in the restaurant. A&A simply relished their food and didn't even give us one embarrassing moment. We luckily chose a seat that was close to a fish tank, and that helped in a big way.
It was an all together different experience - both for us and the kids! And guess kids learnt so much from that one outing, not to miss the great family bonding time we all had.
It just left me pondering- many a times; we deny a certain experience to kids thinking of our own inconvenience or considering them as too young. But I guess it's imp we take that plunge! Not just it helps in the overall development of kids but also makes us more confident as parents. Don't you think?
We too go out for dine,in the beginning it was difficult to manage Vyaan, but now he enjoys there. One thing more ,he goes with us but before going he used to finish his dinner at home😁😁

We love to dine out and we do often as a family or just us. After Atarah yes it was difficult but we did, I never shy away from offering restaurant food right from the beginning. If high chair is there then it will be a blessing. If not difficult.

Ya @616fd972ade2a9001326872e so the key is to choose a kid friendly place and keep the child engaged. I guess they eventually start enjoying and become less cranky when they find the place comfortable.
