How to deal with Constipation?? Our poop speaks a lot about our health and digestive system. Absence of poop all constipation and really stress mums out! White Bread Avoid foods that contain white flour(Maida), white sugar and processed foods. Carrots Potatoes High Salted Foods Fried foods Dairy products in excess like cheese, butter, yoghurt (though yoghurt contains good bacteria that facilitate digestion, but it also has a binding effect on food substances and sometimes may cause constipation Raw banana Ragi - yes it does cause constripation to some babies
Remedies
1. Exercise
The parent or caregiver can gently move the baby’s legs while they are lying on their back to mimic the motion of riding a bicycle. Doing this may help the bowels function and relieve constipation. 2. Hing paste - Take a pinch of asafoetida/Hing & mix it with water to make a paste consistency. Apply on the baby's belly button and give a gentle massage to get relief from constipation. Wipe it off once it dries with warm water. 3. Ajwain or carom seeds - Boil Ajwain in water, strain it with a cloth and give the water to baby to relieve constipation. 4. Lemon water is a simple home remedy that you can try for treating constipation.
