There are several things that you can do to build your child's concentration. As suggested by the other mothers, reading, yoga, word games, puzzles, colouring activities, playing an instrument and/or cross stitch are all good ideas. Other ideas include playing a racket sport, making jigsaw puzzles. doing word searches or hidden picture activities or using Lego or other construction materials to create things. The important thing here is not the task you use, but how you do the task. The idea is to one of these activities daily or every alternate day and to have your child sit and do these activities in one sitting. Slowly, slowly increase the amount of time they can sit and do just one activity. For instance, if your child is able to make a puzzle for 5 minutes today, then tomorrow try and encourage them to sit for 6 - 7 minutes. And lastly, as mentioned before, please reduce TV and/or screen time (on an Ipad or computer) to the minimum, as these are machines that have constantly moving images that demand very limited attention of children. The more they do this, the more they need that high a level of stimulation to keep them engaged and then get bored very easily with tasks that are not as visually stimulating and demand more of them mentally. Hope this helps.

Other than what other Mommies suggested, all kind of hand eye coordination activities increase concentration for ex: Drawing, Craft, colouring, knitting, solving puzzles etc. As suggested by @Asha choudhry cross stitch again require hand eye coordination. Also Music instruments @616d5c785988200013dc45d1 .
Try concentrating to focus your kid on some of this hand eye coordination activities.
Good luck

Hi Gayetri, my namesake :) Apart from what other mothers suggested I would add that getting kids to learn a musical instrument helps in developing concentration. It takes time and concentration to learn notes, memorise and practice. Music as everyone knows is a great stress buster, especially needed in kids too these days. :)
