;;;;;;; Yesterday when I prepared vegetable sandwich to my son I forgot to put SAUCE in his plate delebratelly 😉 but he is my son how could he forget his royal meal will be incomplete without sauce so he ordered his sauce by pointing towards his plate "mamma chause" n I failed miserably in fooling him this is what we call smart Gen. So it is not easy to fool them we have to try new ways to make them eat healthy m tasty today I m gonna share some tips which i feel is necessary to raise a unfussy eater.
1. You have to start from scratch I mean try to inculcate healthy eating habits in your kids from when you wean them try to opt for natural thing; instead of packed food yes you have to choose packed or ready made food like cerelac sometimes but you have other alternatives too you can made home made cerelac or just try to give them in emergency. Yes they r convinent for us as a new mother but when we r laying foundation of his eating habits small things do matter. Go for khichdi steamed pureed veggies n fruits 2.start weaning your babyfrom bf or fm; around 1 year age n limit his milk intake coz after drinking too much milk he will not accept anything to eat. Never force your kid to eat anything he is not gonna eat in this way in fact he will start resisting food. 3.For one year baby 2-3 meals a day is OK depending on kid as adhi eats just 2 meals a day n in between he eats fruits or other healthy snacking option. Try to offer; more of fruits n veggies ad snacks instead of something ready made according to their age proportion n consistency can be adjust.
4. Try to keep fruits n veggies on places where kid can easily see so that instead of asking for some unhealthy snack he will eat them this trick works well😊 n don't put unhealthy snack where they can easily access. Never offer anything unhealthy like candy chips or else by yourself to kid try to avoid first n give in small amount if necessary.
5.yes their r cheat days too after all they are kids you can give them treat once in a while with fries, cutlet and other yummy things but instead of potato fries give sweet potatoe fry you can add lots if veggies to cutlets
6.kids do get bored from eating same thing or menu n start showing disinterest you can introduce new dishes to change their taste.
These are simple tips which I follow hope they will help you n yes I m not a dietician I m just a mother who tries to give her best to make his son happy n healthy at same time i learned all these small but useful tips in my journey of motherhood.😊
