Swaddling does relax the baby and helps them to sleep better. But sometimes excessive swaddling also increases the tummy heat and causes reflux. Check the temp of the tummy, if it feels too hot just place a cold handkerchief on it. Dip a cloth or small towel in cold water, squeeze dry it to drain the excess water nd place it on the tummy. After one side becomes warm change to the other side. Another option is to break water on the tummy the way I have shown in the video link Take 2 steel bowls. A big bowl with flat base and a small one. Fill the big bowl with cold water and place it on the baby's tummy. Now take some water in the small bowl from the big bowl and pour it back into the big ball. In local language we call it "breaking the water over the tummy". Repeat this process ten to fifteen times and pat dry the tummy if any spillage occurs. This will cool dpwn the temperature pf the tummy instantly. Repeat this 3 to 4 times a day. Refluxes will be reduced considerably.

Vrushalee SB maintain optimum temperature in the baby's room which is 25 to 28. With that you should be able to swaddle her. Because baby needs warmth. Also the baby is used to a restricted environment of the womb which can be artificially created by swaddling. It soothes the baby and makes the fall asleep with a feeling of being secured just like she was in the womb. Babies also have a startle reflex which wakes them up frequently from sleep and even causes refluxes. Swaddling helps to control those reflexes ensuring an undisturbed sleep. So you should reap the benefits of swaddling. You can set ur ac at 25 and continue to swaddle. Keep checking the tip of the nose palms and feets from time to time which should be warm always. Once the baby is awake and out of the swaddle chk the tummy temperature. Any temperature you want to check on forehead or tummy or neck should be by the back of your palm not the sole of the palm which are usually warm. If it feels excess warm as compared to other parts of the bodyz then do follow the steps of the video before the feed. After that keep a cold napkin on the tummy for a few minutes and change sides when one side becomes warm. Once the temperature of the tummy is lowered back to normal give the feed. You can even half swaddle the baby which ll allow air circulation within but it won't help to control the startle reflex.
