I am 16 weeks pregnant. I was test thyriod (tsh) today and it's 6.96 . Can thyroid problems affect pregnancy?? it's safe for me ya not ..

it is not unsafe if u take proper dose accordingly as prescribed by physician....

i also have thyroid problem which is 10.3 but Gynecology and thyroid specialist told its not a big problem but you should continue medicine and must undergo monthly tsh level check up from the specialist...be stress free and eat healthy....

yes dear it's affect. I have the same problem . my tsh level is 5.56 . Dr suggest me to take 25 mcg thyronorm tablet every morning and 2 tablets on Saturday and Sunday . so plz take proper medicine prescribed by your gynec.

i consulted a thyroid specialist except gynae as my tsh was very high...he said there is a myth that thyroid effects baby IQ..so dnt worry..but thyroid can cause miscarriage so it needs to be controlled asap & have test every month so that the dose can be changed accordingly
