I am 24 weeks pregnant and i am having thyroid almost 5.7...i am feeling tired soon after going out..if thyroid affect my baby??

discuss with your doctor for the same... and opt for medication.. The type of thyroid replacement medication that should be used during pregnancy is clearly stated: oral levothyroxine only. Other thyroid medications, such as T3 or desiccated thyroid, are not recommended.. Both maternal and fetal hypothyroidism are known to have serious adverse effects on the fetus. Therefore maternal hypothyroidism should be avoided. Targeted case finding is recommended at the first prenatal visit or at diagnosis of pregnancy.. it affects more on fetal brain and fetal thyroid gland...
